Never Give Up

About Me

My Photo
Hello I am Stephanie M. Freeman and I have created this to let everyone walk with me through my journey I am taking to accomplish my dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Running is such a passion of mine.  When I was 14 years old I experienced a life changing event that gave me this passion.  I suffered a brain injury from a car accident that left me in a wheelchair & with no hope to ever walk again.  For 2 months of my life I prayed for my miracle, and with strength and determination I proved all my doctors & nurses wrong... I walked again!

When I run now a days I let this memory drive me harder than ever to be the best person/runner I can be! So therefore I know this goal of mine WILL happen for me and I will make most sure of it!

Birthday Eats!!!

Monkey Brains! Lol.... Love the sushi;) and resisted the wine tonight haha coffee of coarse.... Next dish will be seafood delight! Bring it baby!

Saturday workout

Had an excellent workout with Mark Overstreet this morning. We worked arms, biceps/triceps & abs... It's good to workout with him bc he's so drama free & focused on his goals like I am. After my workout I had an easy run 3.3 miles it was hot out but luckily an overcast.

I got a text while working out from a running hero friend a mine which has already qualified for Boston and she lives in Macon close to where I'll b at w Matt so I planned a long run w her in am and I'm so excited about that. I'm heading home now going to get ready to head toward Perry.

Happy Birthday to me....

Today I wake up its my 34th birthday.... I am gonna drag to the coffee pot and shower and head to Perry to visit Matt.  Get some good running in over there b/c its a different location with lots of hills & this will be good for me.  I am probably going to go to the gym in Cordele before I go to get a workout in with my buddy Mark.  I have started working out with this guy Mark Overstreet, he is an athlete, football player with Valdosta State & is home from school at the moment and we seem to be on the same page link with our training.... OCD with it all you may say:) hahaha  But I do find it hard to find someone that wants to workout and not get competive or actually workout and focus on their goal and not on what the hell is happening around em.... So this guy seems to be a good match for me.... My training in the gym will take a step back when I begin the actual marathon schedule in Mid August though!

Anyways though I am going to enjoy my birthday even though I feel as if I am getting slightly OLD:) At least I am blessed to be here & enjoy time with my son & friends & fam.....
