Never Give Up

About Me

My Photo
Hello I am Stephanie M. Freeman and I have created this to let everyone walk with me through my journey I am taking to accomplish my dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Running is such a passion of mine.  When I was 14 years old I experienced a life changing event that gave me this passion.  I suffered a brain injury from a car accident that left me in a wheelchair & with no hope to ever walk again.  For 2 months of my life I prayed for my miracle, and with strength and determination I proved all my doctors & nurses wrong... I walked again!

When I run now a days I let this memory drive me harder than ever to be the best person/runner I can be! So therefore I know this goal of mine WILL happen for me and I will make most sure of it!

Heros

Preston Range Freeman
He is my son and of course my biggest hero!
This is Emily Ingram.
She totally inspires me because she is such an athlete as well as a mother of 4 children.

Arnold is an inspiration to all us atheletic folks:)

This is one of my best friends Gary Jolly.
Gary is in the hospital for a heart transplant.  When I run I pray for  him and think of him often because he doesn't have the luxury of doing anything such as this, heck the doctors will not even let gary get up and walk too much:( Therefore he is such a hero of mine because he remains being positive and doesn't let this life get him down:)
Meet my very 1st running coach and mentor Mr. Frank McCleod.
Frank is a legend to running, he has ran for over 40 years and he taught me so much about the sport... Frank has many accomplishments to his name, he runs marathons, and ultra marathons... Did I mention he is in his mid 60's! Awesome smart guy!!
This is my current running coach/mentor Mr Mike Beeman.  Mike is also a legend to the sport with many many accomplishments under his belt.  Mike has ran the Boston Marathon 35 times in his career, he has also ran an Olympic Qualifing Marathon.  He knows alot of famous athletes on a personal basis and remains such a humble person!
Shalane Flanagan & Kara Goucher
The LoLo Jones.  Lolo is very inspirational! Theres nothing I like better than an athlete that runs for purpose and not just to make a living! She is a survivor!
Ryan Hall the Olympian! Excellent runner!

Steve Prefontaine:  RIP an awesome runner taken way too young!
The Lance Armstrong is a hero of mine too! A survivor & has accomplished so much!

Bart Yasso! I love reading his books! Great runner and Runners World is awesome due to him:) I have had the opportunity to meet him and he is such a humble nice person. I consider him to be one of the great pioneers of running.
