Never Give Up

About Me

My Photo
Hello I am Stephanie M. Freeman and I have created this to let everyone walk with me through my journey I am taking to accomplish my dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Running is such a passion of mine.  When I was 14 years old I experienced a life changing event that gave me this passion.  I suffered a brain injury from a car accident that left me in a wheelchair & with no hope to ever walk again.  For 2 months of my life I prayed for my miracle, and with strength and determination I proved all my doctors & nurses wrong... I walked again!

When I run now a days I let this memory drive me harder than ever to be the best person/runner I can be! So therefore I know this goal of mine WILL happen for me and I will make most sure of it!

Winning Products

These are just a few things I use for my running/working out. And also some of the things I really want. All products that I have shown are available both for men and women, just so you know. Try them out and please let me know what you think! Also, I am always really excited to find new and helpful products, so if you come across anything that you think I may like, please let me know!

Just a side note here. Amazon is such a wonderful place to shop in my opinion. I can spend hours looking through their products and never once get bored. They truly are an amazing company that has helped me to achieve so many of my goals. I've never had any issues with my purchases and even if I did, they have a great return policy. The reviews and ratings are so very much helpful to me. I've found it to be very beneficial to see what other people have to say about products before I buy them.

I've tried my best to bring the best deals I've found on their website to the front of the line for you guys. I hope you guys find it just as useful as I do! And by the way, you can search for more or different products in the blocks shown.

The Garmin is a necessity for running. My goodness I do not know how I lasted so long without using one. In fact I just began using one probably 3 years ago! This one was actually my 1st Garmin. It was good except was very weather sensitive when it was really cold it wouldn't calculate my pacing accurately then wasn't waterproof and I love running in rain so I moved on to the Garmin Forerunner 310XT Waterproof Running GPS With USB ANT Stick and Heart Rate Monitor, which is used by most triathletes :)

The Garmin Forerunner 310XT.... I love it, its like a mini computer on your wrist! Its worth the money you spend because it is waterproof & has alot of different options to it! This is the watch I currently use! But Garmin is a very trustworthy brand and all their products have excellent reviews.

Nike Women's NIKE AIR PEGASUS Shoes...Has been an excellent running shoe for me throughout all my years of running.  Nike has to be one of the best running shoes I've found because the bottom doesn't seem to wear as bad as some of the others I've found. It took me a few years to get into a different shoe because these are so trusty!

I have found Saucony ProGrid Triumph 8 Running shoes to be the best running shoe for my style! I tell everyone who asks me this that it holds up well and is extremely affordable! I do long distance running so I need something not so minimal and that will last. So far, this shoe has been my 1st pick next to the Nike.

I use my Runners World Reflective Vest at night. And I use it early am runs for protection from oncoming cars.

The old fuel belt! I used one in my 2nd marathon and I was so thankful I did because I didn't have to stop at any water stops for a while. The belt got me through it all pretty comfortably. And I could also carry a lot of gels too!

GU Gel. I refer to this as gold! Whenever I help anyone get into long distance running I always tell them the GU will work miracles when you begin feeling sluggish and especially running in this heat & humidity in Georgia.

I recently began wearing these because I endured an injury to my calve. The sleeves are worn to improve blood flow. They are helpful to me. I use the 110 compression socks and love them because they have a pocket where I can put ice packs.

I used a camel back my last marathon season and it wasn't a good fit and it rubbed blisters on my shoulders.  But I do like them if they fit well.

Running with a weighted vest is something my old running coach Mr. Frank always told me I should do.  It is used to build endurance for a long run & it is said to help you run faster when trained with consistently. Lots of my running friends use them.

The best running shorts and most comfortable I have to say is the Under Armour Brand shorts. They are lightweight and, most important to me, not bulky. I have tried a lot of different brand of running shorts and the Under Armour Brand seem to work best... In fact most of my running apparel is this brand because it holds up so good!

My favorite running bra's are Under Armour Brand. Us gals have to have support and they are built extremely well and hold up for such a long time! I have several of the Under Armour Brand Bras that I have had for many years! Although I do like the Nike Brand Bras too! They are very well built too and hold up for a long time!

Another favorite running accessory of mine is the Under Armour Headband! They are awesome. Keeps my hairback when I am running in the mornings. It's dry-fit so it doesn't make me sweat! And unlike the other brands I have tried it doesn't move around much on my head! I love wearing them.

I wear Maui Jim sunglasses when I run... They block sunlight well and fit perfectly to my face. They are a favorite of mine, although I do have a backup pair of regular Ironman Brand that are the sports brand that are less expensive and work pretty good too.

This is a site where I can find the five finger socks for my five finger shoes. Although I do not wear them to run in, I do like wearing them for my cross-fit workouts. Because I am a coffee junkie, they have some of the best coffee I enjoy buying as well.

There are so many more products out there that I haven't got to try yet. But as soon as I do, I will let you guys know what to expect from them and show you where you can buy them.
